High school legend + College legend = Candace Parker

Candace Parker Cuts Down A Piece of History

So, first she wins the McDonald’s High School All-American Game’s dunk contest, becoming the 1st woman ever to win.

Then, according to a recent USA Today article, she becomes the “most decorated high school player in history”.

And now, Candace, the legendary coach Pat Summit (who before the game, told her team, “Offense sells tickets, defense wins games and rebounding wins championships”), and the Lady Vols team are the winners of the 2007 NCAA Women’s National Championship, defeating Rutgers 59-46.

Already an All American, Candace can add this new individual title to her list: Final Four MVP.
